Playtime!

Hollyn had so much fun playing with Macy and Zack! We learned that she is not too keen on sharing her own toys, but we all had fun!

Glad to be Home!

This is Hollyn's favorite book, she carries it everywhere and puts it in the car or in her Lego container for safe keeping. Should we be worried that Hollyn is already reading Tolstoy?

Our Summer Adventures

We decided to take advantage of both of us having a month off over the summer by taking an extended vacation. Mike drove to Houston on May 26, and Hollyn and I followed by plane on the 28th. We travelled over 6,000 miles total and visited 4 states. The following is a log of our travels.

Our Adventures part 6: The Mississippi Gulf Coast 6/15

This is a picture taken at the Maag's house on the Gulf Coast. Pictures just don't convey the devastation down there. Mike and Hollyn are standing in front of the FEMA trailer where we were planning the stay the night. However, after visiting, it just felt to desolate to stay. Inside the FEMA trailer This was a church we passed that had chairs inside where they still had services
Wal-Mart
Everywhere along the coast you'd see signs and then maybe a slab behind it. Here's a McDonald's sign, no building.
